In a professional, business environment, what is more difficult, to give or receive feedback? The easy and probably most accurate answer is “both.” Though we can all admit that sitting at either side of this table can be challenging, it remains a critically important part of our work-lives and communication process. Mother knows best – Even when offering performance feedback!

To tell you a little bit about myself, I’m a mother of two. My oldest son is nine years old (going on 13) and is heading into the fourth grade; well on his way to conquering the world. He spends his days torturing his teacher with incredible curiosity and an insane amount of questions; this moderate annoyance, coupled with a coy grin, is what typically helps him find his way out of any misbehavior. Our second son just turned one. While my husband and I are off at work, the baby stays with my husband’s Aunt who loves him dearly, kills him with kisses and completely destroys the feeding and sleeping routine we’ve diligently tried to create for him….
